Norfolk Community Arts is an arts participation and engagement charity based in Norwich, UK. We are dedicated to improving lives and communities through arts and culture.

Our vision is to create a world where arts and culture are an active part of everyone’s lives, and the people and communities we work with can live creative, healthy lives, and fulfil their potential, regardless of background.

Our Values

Inclusivity

Opportunity for all, regardless of background, situation or circumstances. Everyone has a place and a voice.

Nurture

Safe and supportive environments within which people can grow and develop. We facilitate and empower change for the people we work with.

Cooperation

Connection builds community.  All our work is built on cooperation, collaboration and respect.

Excellence

Giving the highest and most professional quality of service or provision we can offer. Learning informs practice.  We listen, adapt and act. We bring dedication, passion, innovation, inspiration and ambition to all our work.

We make art with people in Norfolk to improve life, learning and health, creating high-quality, inclusive, creative experiences.

Our programmes are open to everyone, particularly those who have the least access to the arts.

Whilst we have two specialist areas, music and carnival arts, we engage with any art form we think might meet the objectives of the charity and the needs of the communities we work with.

Our work focuses on:

  • Creating opportunities to get involved in or experience the arts
  • Breaking down barriers to participation, wherever they exist and whatever they might be
  • Making a difference to people’s lives
  • Supporting people on their creative journey, whatever the reason and whatever the stage
  • Providing facilities and resources that further our work and support access
