Melissa Hague
Administrator
From a very young age, Melissa knew that she wanted to be a teacher, and after finishing her degree in Derby, she moved to South London to become a primary school teacher and Early Years Specialist.
After 17 years she moved back to her East Anglian roots and found a job with NORCA, as part of the original In Harmony Norwich team. Gaining an early years role in the project, she quickly moved into being a tutor, combining her two loves, teaching and music, variously covering violin and musicianship for Sistema, and later joining the curriculum music team. She has now been with the project for over 10 years, and in 2016 joined the core team as a part-time administrator.
Melissa says, “my musical interests were very much influenced by my 6 older siblings. My first single, aged 4, was “Long Haired Lover From Liverpool” by Jimmy Osmond. First poster was, Gary Numan. First gig, apart from Kids From Fame Live, was Teardrop Explodes at Cambridge Corn Exchange.”
